 Private Yoga Lessons at FitSync

FitSync offers private, one-to-one yoga lessons in Tokyo. Lessons are held at our seven gyms — Roppongi, Shinjuku-Gyoemmae, Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku South (Yoyogi) (coming soon), Shibuya, Ginza and Azabu-Juban — or on-site at your home, office or hotel, and are by appointment only. We plan to launch in autumn 2026 and are taking pre-launch enquiries and booking requests now.

This service is for complete beginners as well as experienced students who want individual attention on their breathing or on specific asanas. There are no group classes: every lesson is private, one-to-one with your instructor in a fully private room. Your female instructor will be announced on this page once confirmed. Sessions are held in English. International residents and people staying in Tokyo for travel or business are also welcome. Men are welcome when they train together with a female client — for example as a couple, spouses or family.

 Who This Is For
  • Beginners who want to learn yoga from the basics
  • Anyone who wants to ask the questions a group class leaves no room for, at their own pace
  • Anyone who wants to improve breathing, flexibility and posture, or whose body gets stiff from desk work
  • Experienced students who want to deepen their practice of a specific asana or style one-to-one
  • Anyone who wants to combine yoga with strength training or martial arts for mobility and recovery
  • Anyone who prefers a female instructor
  • Anyone who wants to take lessons in English
  • International residents, travelers and business visitors who want to keep up their practice in Tokyo
  • Clients who want lessons at their home, office or hotel

 What You Learn

Beginners

Breathing (diaphragmatic and chest breathing), how to sit and stand, sun salutations, foundational asanas (standing poses, forward folds, twists, backbends and balances) and final relaxation (savasana) — in that order. You can start even if you are stiff or have never exercised.

Experienced students

Style-specific practice (Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative and more, depending on your instructor’s specialties), refining specific asanas, breathing and meditation, and focused work on posture and flexibility. Tell us what you want to work on and we build the lesson around it, one-to-one.

If you want to combine yoga with strength work, see our personal training; if you want yoga for mobility alongside martial arts, see our Muay Thai and kickboxing lessons.

We will let you know about yoga mats and props when you contact us. You are welcome to bring your own mat.

 Languages

You don’t need to speak Japanese to train with us. Yoga lessons are held in English (whether lessons can also be taught in Japanese will be confirmed once the instructor is announced), and booking and support are handled directly by FitSync in Japanese, English or Chinese through the contact form, email or LINE (phone support in Japanese only).

 What to Expect

FitSync's private yoga lessons start with a conversation: your goals, your yoga experience, your current fitness and flexibility, and any injuries or discomfort. From there your instructor builds the lesson around you, progressing step by step with your breathing and safety checked at each stage.

  • Goal discussion — learning from scratch, improving flexibility and posture, deepening a specific style or asana
  • Assessment of your yoga experience and current fitness and flexibility
  • Asanas taught in a comfortable order, starting with breathing, with your movement checked as you go
  • Progressive lessons, with a short home practice to work on before the next session
  • We aim to reply within 24 hours.
  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the lesson are free of charge. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson incur the full lesson fee (100%). The same policy applies to rescheduling.
  • We don't push session packs. Single pay-as-you-go sessions are available.

Choose a location

Programs and founder-led direction are the same across all locations. Prices are set per gym. All seven gyms (Roppongi, Shinjuku-Gyoemmae, Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku South (Yoyogi) (coming soon), Shibuya, Ginza and Azabu-Juban) are by appointment only. Please pick whichever is easiest from your home, office or commute.

FAQ

When do lessons start?

We plan to launch in autumn 2026 and will announce the schedule on this page as soon as it is set. Pre-launch enquiries and booking requests are welcome through the contact page.

Can beginners take yoga lessons? What if I am not flexible?

Yes. Your first lesson starts with a conversation about your goals, experience and current fitness and flexibility, and we build from breathing and basic posture in a comfortable order. Stiffness, age and lack of exercise experience are not barriers. Please note: we do not provide medical treatment or rehabilitation. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have been advised to limit exercise, please consult your doctor first.

Can tourists book yoga lessons in Tokyo?

Yes. There are no registration or monthly fees, and single pay-as-you-go sessions are available — convenient for travelers and business visitors. Hotel visits can also be arranged on request.

Do I need my own yoga mat? What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in (please bring your own training wear). We will let you know about yoga mats and props when you contact us, and you are welcome to bring your own mat. A rental towel and bottled water are free of charge (included in the lesson fee).

Are lessons private?

Yes. There are no group classes: your instructor works with you alone. Adding one friend or family member costs +¥5,000 per person per session (men may join only with a female client).

How many people can train at the same time
• At Ginza GYM, two or three people can train at the same time.
• At Shinjuku South (Yoyogi) GYM (coming soon), up to eight people can train at the same time.
• At Roppongi GYM, Shinjuku-Gyoemmae GYM, Shibuya GYM and Nishi-Shinjuku GYM, two people can train at the same time.
• Azabu-Juban GYM takes one client at a time.
• Lessons are done on yoga mats.
• Training space (approx.): Ginza GYM approx. 4.7 m × 2.6 m; Roppongi GYM approx. 2.7 m × 3.2 m; Shinjuku-Gyoemmae GYM approx. 1.7 m × 3.5 m (part of the space extends a further approx. 1.0 m); Shibuya GYM approx. 2.0 m × 3.7 m (part of the space extends a further approx. 1.0 m); Nishi-Shinjuku GYM approx. 2.5 m × 2.5 m. Floor plans are on each gym's page.

Can men book yoga lessons?

Men are welcome when they train together with a female client — for example as a couple, spouses or family. We do not take bookings from men on their own; men are welcome to book personal training or Muay Thai / Kickboxing lessons instead.

I have experience. Can I focus on a specific style or asana?

Yes. Tell us what you want to work on — a particular style, a specific asana, breathing and meditation, posture or flexibility — and we build the lesson around it one-to-one. We will let you know your instructor’s specialties when you book.

Can I combine yoga with training or martial arts?

Yes. Yoga lessons can be combined with our personal training or Muay Thai and kickboxing lessons. If you want yoga for mobility or recovery alongside other training, let us know when you book.

Where are lessons held?

At our Roppongi gym (5 min from Roppongi Station), at our Shinjuku-Gyoemmae, Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku South (Yoyogi) (coming soon), Shibuya, Ginza and Azabu-Juban gyms, or on-site at your home, office or hotel — no travel fee within Minato, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Chuo wards (facility rental costs are covered by the client). All lessons are by appointment only.

Can foreigners book lessons? Is English available?

Yes. Sessions are held in English (whether lessons can also be taught in Japanese will be confirmed once the instructor is announced), and you can contact and book with FitSync in Japanese, English or Chinese through the contact form, email or LINE (phone support in Japanese only).

How do I book?

Send us a message through the contact page with your experience level and your preferred location and dates. We aim to reply within 24 hours. By appointment only.
